Another good day for Jonas and Salvatore, as we finished the day and earned 237 more points. Team 36 continues to inch up in the standings, and we are now in 62nd place out of 77 teams. Only 41 out of 77 teams (53%) have completed all 1940 miles in the race. 30 teams (40%) have missed entire days of the race. You can view the current standings here.

We happened to pass Jonas on the highway

Today Jonas learned that his milage limit is about 105 miles. He learned this by coasting into a gas station just as he was running out of fuel. 🙂

Yesterday Jonas fabricated these highway pegs out of bar stock and a rubber hose. Jonas shaped them with a hammer and vice, and cut them to size with a grinder wheel. This kind of parking lot work is pretty common in Cannonball - You have to make do with the tools and materials you have.

We had a delicious lunch in Pratt, Kansas hosted at TR Restorations by Terry Richardson, a former Cannonball rider. Our finish was in Garden City, Kansas where the city was celebrating their Fall Festival. We had a great crowd of people to watch the bikes come in.
